Year 10 is a key year, where students begin working toward selecting a pathway for Year 11. It can often feel more serious, and sometimes more pressured, as schools use academic progress to help guide students toward pathways they may be best suited to.
By Term 2, schools usually begin career and course counselling conversations. You may start receiving information at home, be invited to information evenings, or be asked to watch online videos explaining pathway options.
While this information is important, it can also feel overwhelming. Many parents tell me it sounds like there are endless choices — when in reality, most schools offer four main pathway options:
General
VET
ATAR
University Preparation
My information sessions are designed for small groups of parents. You’ll join me online as I clearly explain what each pathway means, break down the common acronyms you’ll hear, and highlight key things to consider when helping your child choose the right option.

I’m based in Perth, and for $50, you can join a supportive online session where this information is simplified, practical, and easy to understand — so you can feel confident guiding your child through this important stage.
